This Privacy Policy explains how The Garage Makeover Company LLC ("The Garage Makeover Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit thegaragemakeovercompany.com (the "Site"), contact us, receive our emails or text messages, or do business with us. By using the Site or giving us your information, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
The Garage Makeover Company is a locally owned business based in Pittsford, New York. We are an independent, authorized dealer and installer of Gorgeous Garage products. Gorgeous Garage is a separate company, and this policy covers only our own practices.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a consultation, call, text, or email us, or become a customer, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, and mailing or service address
- Details about your project, such as garage size, products of interest, photos you share, and scheduling preferences
- Billing details needed to invoice you
- Your messaging preferences and the record of any consent you give us to contact you
- Anything else you choose to tell us
Payment information. Invoices and payments are processed by our payment provider, Intuit QuickBooks. Card and bank details you enter to pay an invoice go to Intuit, not to us, and we do not store full card or bank account numbers.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent, referring website, approximate location, and how you interact with the Site. We collect this using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 5.
Phone calls. If you call us, we may use a call-tracking service that logs the number you called from, the date and length of the call, and how you found us. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes. If you prefer not to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations, design appointments, and installations
- Prepare designs, estimates, and proposals
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, project updates, invoices, and payment reminders
- Follow up after your installation to check on your project and ask for feedback or a review
- Send marketing emails and, if you separately agree, marketing text messages
- Measure and improve the Site and our advertising
- Protect our business, prevent fraud, and comply with the law
3. Text messaging (SMS)
If you check the text-message box on one of our forms or otherwise give us permission, we will send text messages to the mobile number you provide. Informational messages cover consultation and appointment confirmations, reminders, project updates, invoice and payment reminders, and follow-up check-ins after your project. Marketing messages, such as offers and promotions, are sent only if you separately agree to receive them.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also opt out by any other reasonable means, such as telling us by phone or email. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every other category of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties, except the messaging platforms and carriers that deliver our messages to you.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run our business, under obligations to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. These include our customer-relationship and messaging platform (GoHighLevel), invoicing and payment processing (Intuit QuickBooks), website hosting (Webflow), analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta), and call-tracking providers.
- Installers and suppliers who need your name, address, and project details to complete your installation or fulfill your order.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our business, or others.
- Business transfers, if our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, as part of that transaction and subject to this policy.
- With your consent, for any other purpose you approve.
We do not give your information to Gorgeous Garage for its own marketing.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Google Analytics 4, to understand how visitors use the Site
- Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, to measure our ads and show our ads to past visitors
- Meta Pixel, to measure and deliver our ads on Facebook and Instagram
These providers may collect information about your activity on the Site and on other websites over time. You can control this by:
- Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Adjusting Google ad settings and Meta ad preferences
- Using the opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
6. Emails and related services
If you give us your email address, we may send you messages about your project and, from time to time, information about our products and services. We may also tell you about related services offered by our affiliated company, Get Organized, such as custom closets. These emails come from us; we do not hand your information to Get Organized for its own marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We will still send messages needed to complete a project you have with us.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information as long as needed to provide our services, honor warranties, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. Records of your consent to be contacted are kept for as long as needed to show that consent. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, as required by New York law. These include limiting access to the people who need it, using reputable providers with security controls, and securely disposing of information we no longer need. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach of your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by New York law.
9. Your choices and requests
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law or to complete a project or warranty
- Stop marketing emails or texts

10. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party websites
The Site may link to websites we do not control, such as Google reviews, Yelp, or product manufacturers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If we make a material change to how we use personal information, we will give additional notice where required by law.
